uControl Insight — Platform Overview

Last updated 2026-07-14

uControl Insight

One platform. Multiple modules. Built for IT teams who need to know what they have, keep it under control, and onboard new customers fast.

uControl Insight is a modular IT operations platform from Tekwurx. Each module solves a specific problem and shares a common foundation — the same authentication, role model, audit trail, AI assistant layer, and Microsoft Teams integration — so the platform grows with you without duplicating effort.

The modules

Discovery

Continuous IT asset discovery across your entire estate — physical hosts, virtual machines, network devices, printers, IoT, cloud workloads, and more. Maps topology, ingests NetFlow / IPFIX, surfaces risk, and helps you find what you didn’t know you had.

TekReady ITSM

Structured customer onboarding for IT service management. Walk a new customer engagement through a guided sequence of sections — Active Directory, groups, service levels, priorities, incident and request categories, workflows — with sign-off gates at each stage. AI accelerates the boring bits.

What ships with every module

  • Authentication — local database, LDAP, SAML, and OpenID Connect (Entra ID / Azure AD, ADFS). Single sign-on once configured.

  • Role-based access control — Administrators, Editors, Approvers and Viewers, applied per engagement where it makes sense.

  • Audit trail — every create, update and approval is recorded with actor, timestamp and before/after values.

  • AI assistant layer — opt-in, provider-agnostic (OpenAI / Anthropic / local models). When enabled, each module surfaces context-aware AI features such as classification suggestions, item generation, and scan diagnosis.

  • Microsoft Teams integration — channel alerts and approval notifications.

  • Languages — the interface is available in five languages — English, French, German, Spanish and Italian. Each user chooses their own on their Profile page; until they do, the platform uses the global default set under Settings → General. Dates and numbers follow each user’s locale — for example, English shows 31 Aug 2026 and German shows 31.08.2026.

  • Settings UI — in-product administration of authentication, integrations, AI provider keys, licence, and Teams hooks.

Getting started

If you’re new to the platform, work through the Discovery module’s Getting Started section first — it covers architecture, deployment options, and installation. TekReady ITSM has its own Getting Started guide focused on running your first customer engagement.

What’s new
